Troop Campout - October 23-25

Posted on Oct 19 2020 - 12:17am

Our fall campout has been rescheduled to October 23-25 and will be at Bills' Farm where we held summer camp.  Due to COVID we will not be able to arrange carpools - families will need to arrange transportation for their Scouts.   If you cannot find someone to carpool with readily, Mrs. Warsocki will have a list of adults who are attending the campout and would be willing to take an additional passenger.  This is our Scouts' only chance for camping nights this fall, so please take advantage of this opportunity.   Sign up on the Troop calendar and indicate your transportation arrangements in the comments.  Cost is $35.

Alex Meade Says Thank You

Posted on Oct 19 2020 - 12:13am

Alex Meade would like to say a huge thank you to all those who turned out and helped make his Eagle project such a success on Saturday.  Through your efforts the Rotary Club of Centreville and Chantilly will be able to send over 600 masks to Haiti during their service project.

Volunteer Opportunity - Alex Meade Eagle Project - 17-18 October

Posted on Oct 11 2020 - 11:59pm

Alex Meade will be conducting his Eagle project on Saturday and Sunday (October 17th and 18th). We will be making masks on behalf of the Centerville Rotary Club to send to Haiti. PPE will be provided, but scouts are encouraged to bring their own mask if they are able. Food will be provided on Saturday, in prepackaged individual meals. Social distancing will be practiced, as contracting Covid at a mask-making project would be unwelcome irony. The uniform is Class-C (Comfortable clothes) both days. We will provide bottled water, PPE, Lunch on SATURDAY ONLY, and snacks at the event. Please sign up on the Troop calendar.  Under the comments section when scouts register, please comment describing your level of sewing experience.   If you have questions, contact Alex at alexmeade@aol.com.
