The Cub Run District Fall Camporee planning team is hard at work, crafting the theme and preparing activities. Watch this space for updates. Cost is $50 per person.  Sign up on the troop calendar (we will do unit registration with the district based on the troop calendar RSVPs). 

All Scouts and adults are invited to assist with our amazing monkey bridge that we will be putting up, manning, and then taking down for Centreville Day on October 17. Scouts of all ages can assist. Senior Scouts are especially needed for building the monkey bridge since there are lots of knots to be tied and huge poles to erect. We need lots of Scouts and adults to make this happen. Set up will start at 7am Saturday morning. Centreville Day runs from 10am to 4pm at Historic Centreville Park (5714 Mt Gilead Road). Tear down should be complete no later than 6pm. Please sign up on the Troop calendar whether or not you can attend.  

We have a fun volunteer opportunity at the St Timothy School Harvest Festival on Friday, October 23.  We will be manning our famous Boy Scout Haunted Trailer.   The more help we have, the more fun it is!   Sign up on the Troop calendar.  

The new location for the Gun show is the DTC Expo, Dulles Town Center, 21050 Dulles Town Circle, Sterling VA 20166.  Scouts age 13 and older can work as well as adults (both youth and adults get paid equally).  Remember this is manual labor.  Uniform is Class B.  Work gloves are recommended.  Proceeds will be deposited into Scout Accounts within a month after the gun show, based on the number of hours worked.   Please sign up on the troop calendar and indicate which hours you can work.  Questions, contact Sara Skees at saraskees@gmail.com.
