New Scout Parents Meeting

Posted on Mar 18 2015 - 11:56pm
We have scheduled a New Parents Meeting for this Sunday, March 22 from 6-8pm in the McGivney Room at St Timothy's.  This is where a lot of your questions will be answered regarding the transition from Webelos to Boy Scouts.  Veteran parents are welcome to attend, especially those whose Scouts joined since September and last year's new Scout parents.  We will cover how the Troop runs, advancements, merit badges, camping, and more.  We will spend some time specifically talking about the new Scout campout and what to expect.

Scout Sunday

Posted on Jan 29 2015 - 2:09pm

Scout Sunday is February 8th and all Scouts are encouraged to attend their place of worship in full uniform on that date.  Uniform is Class A with merit badge sash and dress shoes.  No hats should be worn in church.  When you sign up on the Troop Calendar, please indicate which mass you will be attending if you go to St Timothy's.  If you go somewhere else, please indicate your place of worship in the notes. For those Scouts who attend St Timothy's we have a special opportunity.  Scouts will be doing the readings and presenting the gifts at as many masses as we can.  If you are available and willing to participate, please let me  know by Tuesday, February 3rd so that I can set up a schedule.  All Scouts who will be reading will need to meet with me to practice the readings on Thursday or Friday evening at 7pm.  Remember a Scout is Reverent and Scout Sunday is a good opportunity to show that reverence. Mrs. Warsocki
